štedljivom petorkom – Holandijom, Austrijom, Finskom, Švedskom i Danskom. Čeka se zasedanje Evropskog parlamenta (kvalifikovana većina). Sredstva iz novog budžeta (2021-2027) biće dostupna državama članicama samo uz poštovanje: 1) klimatske ravnoteže, 2) vladavine zakona, i 3) jedinstvenog nastupa EU ekonomije protiv krize.

Remarks by President Charles Michel after the Special European Council, 17-21 July 2020 – Consilium

The final agreement about EUR 750 billion in COVID-19 aid funds within the EU budget worth EUR 1.82 trillion (+ EUR 540 billion in support). Exhaustive negotiations of the 5-day meeting of EU leaders brought only cosmetic changes, even though it is a historic day. The plan defined grants of 390 billion euros (instead of the original 500 billion euros) and loans worth 360 billion euros (instead of the original 250 billion euros), after a compromise with the so-called with the thrifty five – the Netherlands, Austria, Finland, Sweden and Denmark. The session of the European Parliament (qualified majority) is awaited. Funds from the new budget (2021-2027) will be available to member states only with respect for: 1) climate balance, 2) the rule of law, and 3) a unique performance of the EU economy against the crisis.
